The Echoes of the Neon Light Music Production Contest is an open global contest inviting participants to create original music tracks using the Echoes of the Neon Light preset pack for Vital (or the LITE version). By entering, participants have a chance to win the full version of the Echoes of the Neon Light preset pack, as well as plugins from Darkpalace Studio and access to future products.

Step 1: Download:

• Download Echoes of the Neon Light (paid) or Echoes of the Neon Light LITE (free).

Step 2: Create:

• Create an original music track using at least 2 presets from the Echoes of the Neon Light preset pack for Vital.
• Song must be between 2 and 3 minutes in length.

Step 3: Submit:

• Upload the song to SoundCloud (public or private) and fill out this form: https://forms.gle/WuFLmAkMvRC

You will be able to join this contest until 8 june 2025 10am CEST, which is the deadline. Any submissions after this will not count.

Everyone from around the globe can enter, but you must be 13+ years old. If you are under 18, you must obtain permission from a parent or guardian before entering.

Entries will be judged on the following:

• Creativity: Originality and innovation in the track.
• Overall Vibe: How well the track conveys its intended mood or atmosphere.
• Use of Presets: Proper and creative use of at least 2 presets from the Echoes of the Neon Light preset pack.

Social Media – Use the hashtags #EchoesOfTheNeonLightContest and #TijmelessAudio or tag @tijmelessaudio on platforms like Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Facebook.

Discord Server – Share your progress, ask for feedback, and connect with other participants in my Discord server.

YouTube – Upload behind-the-scenes videos of your track creation, DAW workflow, or sound design process.

1. Use Presets Creatively – Don’t just drop the presets in—tweak them! Adjust filters, envelopes, LFOs, and effects to make them unique.
2. Layer for Depth – Combine multiple instances of the presets with different octaves, panning, or effects to create a fuller, richer sound.
3. Automation is Life – Bring movement into your track by automating filter cutoff, pitch modulation, or reverb mix for evolving textures.
4. Rhythm & Groove Matter – Even in synthwave, tight rhythms and groove make a track stand out. Experiment with swing, delay, and sidechain compression.
5. Contrast is Key – Use a mix of soft & hard sounds, wide & narrow elements, loud & quiet moments to create dynamic interest.
6. Mix with Clarity – Keep your low end clean with EQing and sidechaining, and avoid clutter by giving each element its own space.
7. Less is More – A simple, well-polished idea hits harder than an overcomplicated mess. Focus on a strong melody and solid arrangement.
8. Test on Different Speakers – Listen to your track on headphones, monitors, phone speakers, and a car to make sure it translates well everywhere.
9. Follow the Rules, But Stand Out – Many will use the same presets, so find a way to make yours sound fresh (processing, layering, resampling, etc.).
10. Have Fun & Engage! – Share your progress in our Discord or on social media using #EchoesOfTheNeonLightContest, #TijmelessAudio and @tijmelessaudio. Getting feedback can help push your track further!

🔥 Bonus Tip: If you're stuck, bounce your synth parts to audio and experiment with chopping, stretching, and reversing them for unexpected results!
